The H2020 projects COMPILE, MERLON, MUSE GRIDS and STORY organized the all-day event on Local Energy Communities – Exploring Research, Technologies and Regulations for their Implementation in Europe.

The aim of the workshop was to present the four H2020 projects that are currently exploring possibilities of Energy communities and are involved in other research activities related to the implementation of RES and development of smart grids.

COMPILE was represented by Assoc. prof. Andrej Gubina and Mr. Tomi Medved from University of Ljubljana, Mr. Stanisals D’Herbemont and Mr. Josh Roberts from REScoop.eu and Mr. Zoran Kordić from ZEZ.

The COMPILE Coordinator, assoc. prof. Andrej Gubina, has presented an overview of the project and current status, while Mr. Tomi Medved co-moderate the economic workshop where the business case for local energy communities in the different member states where explored.
