What: COMPILE will participate in Sustainable Places 2021

Sustainable Places is an annual international conference focused on showcasing the results of EU projects on innovation for the built environment. The 9th edition, Sustainable Places 2021, will be held over three days in a hybrid (digital + in-person) event format. Between the opening and closing keynote sessions, parallel technical sessions and project-organized workshops will explore the various conference themes.

During the event, H2020 sister projects on energy islands iELECTRIX, MERLON, MUSE GRIDS and COMPILE will have a workshop “Energy communities: how tools can facilitate their enhancement” which offers an overview of different tools for the optimisation of local energy networks and how to facilitate the grid interaction, developed and narrated through the eyes of technology leaders representing four mentioned projects.

The workshop will be held on the second day of the conference, Wednesday 28th October, between 14:00 and 17:00.

Moreover, COMPILE technical partner ETRA will participate in the session “Challenges and mitigation strategies for mass development of Energy Flexibility in EU”. The exact time slot will be announced soon so stay tuned!
